About Montauban
Montauban is in the Tarn et Garonne department of the Midi-Pyrenees region.
On the banks of the river Lot, the Occitana town is of a pink colour due to the red bricks which were generally used for its contruction.Built as a fortified town by Comte de Toulouse in 1144. During the war of the religions, the town is an important fief for the protestants, only yo sucumb to the powerful catholics in 1629.
